Bio

Passionate about social impact, entrepreneurship, and people development, Angeli is currently leading Operations and Programs of Makesense Asia. She was formerly the Chief People Officer of STORM Technologies - one of the largest HR Tech startups in the Philippines - and was an Organisational Consultant with Intentional Work Communities.

While she has spent the larger part of her career in People Operations and Human Resources, she has handled multiple roles that range from product development and marketing to e-commerce operations and sales development.

She is now integrating and harnessing her vast experience across verticals and industries to further her consulting and teaching practice.

My Experience

Executive Director for Programs & Operations, Makesense Asia

January 2021 to Present

In-charge of Team & Operations management. Learn more by clicking on this link. Notable programs led in recent years:

• RISE for Youth: piloted the 15-month program that reduced inequalities through skill-building and empowerment of the underserved Filipino youth ultimately supporting them to get decent jobs. After the pilot run, we ran 5 job fairs that hosted more than 1,300 young Filipino job seekers, trained more than 11,000 underserved youth in employability skills, and collaborated with more than 120 private and public institutions to ensure that systems and way-of-work in the ecosystem will continue to improve even after the program has concluded.
• Accelerating Circular Economy in the Philippines (ACE Project): led the teams that mapped 11 waste commodity value chains for 5 local government units (LGUs), assessed the citizens sentiments toward CE practices, collaborated with 283 organizations to sustain the CE efforts done in LGUs, and supported 8 MSMEs to create new CE business practices. All-in-all, the CE projects trained more than 1,500 citizens on CE practices.

Startup Incubation Director, Makesense Asia

November 2019 to Present

Currently managing the Makesense Academy. We work with idea-stage startups in the social impact space. The current batch of Makesense Academy has 10 promising idea- and early-stage social startups tackling various themes which includes health access for all, plastic waste management, and building sustainable cities.

Chief People Officer, STORM Technologies

January 2016 to October 2019

Responsible for three functions: People Operations, Research, and Product Management. The Resident Geek for anything HR-related; the go-to person in the firm for Human Capital Trends and studies. In 2019, I was focused on managing the flagship product of STORM - STORM Flex, the leading benefits tech platform in the Philippines.

Startup Swiss Knife, STORM Technologies

December 2013 to October 2019

Started out as the Lead Recruiter of STORM Technologies, added Marketing & Communications as part of my role. Spent a couple of years in Sales, E-Commerce Vendors Partnership, and HR. Led the E-Commerce operations for two years before focusing on the People Operations function for STORM Technologies and it's two sister companies (Skillbean and Allcare).
