The Power of Radical Collaboration for Youth Employability & Empowerment in the Philippines

In the Philippines today, our journey towards youth employability & empowerment is one of persevering hope, determination, and most importantly, radical collaboration. As we reflect on the past year, we are humbled and inspired by the impact we've made together through the RISE for Youth initiative. With the support of various stakeholders across different sectors, we've achieved remarkable results – reaching over 1.5 million youth in the country and supporting more than 1,700 in maximizing their potential and finding gainful employment.

Celebrating the Power of Radical Collaboration

Our success is a testament to the incredible potential that comes alive when individuals, groups, and communities unite to create opportunities for our youth. Radical collaboration goes beyond traditional partnerships. It's about breaking down barriers and coming together with a shared purpose. It's about recognizing that every effort counts, no matter how big or small, and that together, we can achieve the great impact we hope to make.

Continuing the Journey: Practicing Radical Collaboration for Youth Empowerment

While we celebrate our achievements, our mission is far from over. The journey towards youth employability and empowerment is ongoing, and we need your continued commitment to radical collaboration. Here are 3 areas we can all contribute to:

1. Mentorship & Training for our Youth: You can collaborate with individual experts and/or learning institutions that can help our youth build the skills they need to succeed in their job hunts and budding careers.
2. Job Facilitation for our Youth: You can collaborate directly with companies, job sites like Prosple and/or government offices like your local Public Employment Service Office to create and spread the word about job opportunities for our youth.
3. Advocating for Youth Empowerment: You can collaborate with the media, youth groups and/or those in your personal and professional networks to raise a collective voice for policies that promote diversity, equity and inclusion and raise funds for youth empowerment projects.

The key to the success of all of these is to think beyond traditional boundaries and create true and kind connections that empower our youth. These initiatives can be tailored to the unique needs and characteristics of various communities across the Philippines, fostering an environment of support, cooperation, and shared responsibility.
